Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

This is a small, straightforward website. It has no accounts, no analytics and one contact form. This page sets out what little it does collect, what happens when you write to us or send the form, and what you can ask us to do about it.

Who we are

PHP Experts is operated by Correct Tech Solutions Ltd, which is the data controller for the personal data described on this page.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the public website at phpexperts.co.uk — the pages you are reading now.

What we collect

When you browse the site

Our hosting provider (Amazon Web Services, via CloudFront) records standard server logs when a page is requested. These contain your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser and device type. We use them only to keep the site running and to protect it from abuse, and we do not use them to identify individual visitors.

We do not run analytics, advertising or any other tracking on this website, and there is no visitor profiling.

When you send the contact form

The contact page carries a short form. When you send it, we receive your name, your email address, your company name, your PHP version, and your message. The form is processed by Formspree, which receives the same data in order to deliver it to us. We use what you send to answer you and, where it leads to one, to carry on the conversation about supplying the service. We do not add you to a mailing list.

When you write to us

If you email us instead, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to write, and use it in the same way.

Cookies

This website sets one cookie, and only after you answer the banner:

phpexp_cookie_consent
Records whether you accepted or declined, so the banner does not ask again. Expires after one year. Strictly necessary — it exists to honour your choice.

There are no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies on this site. Declining, or simply ignoring the banner, leaves this cookie unset.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookies link in the footer of any page, or by clearing cookies for this site in your browser.

Who else is involved

These third parties see data in the ordinary course of serving this site:

  • Amazon Web Services hosts and delivers the site via CloudFront CDN. Your IP address and request details pass through their infrastructure and appear in the server logs described above. AWS acts as our processor.
  • Formspree processes the contact form submissions. When you submit the form, Formspree receives the data you entered in order to deliver it to us. Formspree acts as our processor.

Beyond this, we do not sell, rent or share your personal data with anyone. We may disclose data where the law requires it.

Legal basis for processing

  • Server logs and site security — our legitimate interest in keeping the website available, secure and working correctly.
  • Answering your form or email — our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries about our service, and where relevant, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • The consent cookie — strictly necessary to give effect to the preference you set.

How long we keep it

  • Server logs: a short retention period set by our hosting provider, typically no more than 90 days.
  • Form submissions: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, then deleted within 24 months of our last contact with you, unless the enquiry has led to a contract.
  • Email correspondence: for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and afterwards only where we have a business or legal reason to keep it.
  • The consent cookie: one year, or until you clear it.

Where your data is held

The site is hosted in the United Kingdom (Amazon Web Services, eu-west-2 London). Where a provider transfers personal data outside the UK, that transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, as appropriate.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or complete it if it is partial
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
  • Ask for it in a portable form, where that right applies
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

Write to privacy@phpexperts.co.uk and we will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113.

Children

This website is aimed at businesses running PHP systems. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data about them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any change appears on this page, with the date at the top revised. If a change is significant, we will make it plain on the site.
